EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH has been producing thick-walled heavy steel pipes and associated components at the Rostock site since 2008. Customers - largely from Europe and Germany - are mainly in the offshore wind industry and offshore oil and gas. State-of-the-art machinery and equipment on more than 263,700 sq feet (24,500 m²) allows the production of longitudinally welded large-diameter pipes with diameters of up to 33 ft (10 meters), lengths of up to 394 feet (120 meters) and weights of up to 1,500 tons. Based on the use of state-of-the-art machinery and advanced manufacturing processes, the annual capacity is approximately 144,000 tons.
